Chapter 1

Cassie I stared at my reflection in the mirror, and I hated what I saw. The shirt I thought would look cute on me instead made me look frumpy. “Why is it that all the cute shirts just don’t fit me right?” I g*****d. “Well, designers clearly don't consider that some women are double D’s,” Sophia, my sorority sister, replied casually from my bed. I turned to look at her. “Isn’t it funny that more women are in the D range or larger, especially with all the brest implants? You’d think designers would catch on,” I said, tossing the shirt I had on to the floor in frustration. I realized I would need to return the clothes I had just bought over the weekend. Out of six shirts, four were already destined for the return pile. “You know,” I said as I faced Sophia again, “having brests this big isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. If women truly understood the curse of big brests, they might think twice about getting implants.” Sophia glanced up from the magazine she was flipping through. “Like looking good in a cute shirt?” she teased. “Exactly!” I replied, turning to try on the last shirt. “Why didn’t you try any of this stuff on in the store? Now you have to do double the work going back to return things,” she pointed out. “I just hate trying things on in stores. The changing rooms are way too small,” I explained. “So you’re claustrophobic?” Sophia asked, raising an eyebrow. “I’m not claustrophobic; I just dislike taking off my clothes, trying something on, and then putting my clothes back on again,” I said, exasperated. “Oh, so it’s like what you’re doing now?” Sophia smirked. I rolled my eyes. “It’s not the same.” “Okay, so I guess you don’t like public sx then. It’s essentially similar: pull down, put in, take out, pull back up,” she said with a grin. I g*****d. Why was I friends with this girl? “Don’t you have a party to get ready for?” I asked her. Sophia sat up on my bed. “Yeah! Are you sure you don’t want to come? I heard AKL is going all out for this one. They even got a portable hot tub in the basement just for tonight.” I bent down to pick up the shirts I had thrown on the floor. “Yeah, that’s a hard pass. I’m just not in the mood to party,” I told her. Sophia got off my bed and placed the magazine back on my nightstand. I felt lucky to have my own room as the president of this sorority. “Alrighty then,” she said as she walked to my door, pausing just as she reached it. “I heard Brett and the other hockey gods talking,” she added. “Okay?” I replied, curious. “They’re going to AKL’s party tonight,” she said before leaving my room. Brett Mathews. Sophia knew that name would grab my attention, and that’s exactly why she mentioned it. Brett is one of the hockey gods at our school. There are four of them in that little clique: Brett, Marco, Blake, and Olly. They call themselves the hockey gods not only because they’re good-looking but also because they have a strong chance of making it to the NHL next year. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that they have plenty of puck bunnies chasing after them. I sighed. Part of me considered going to AKL’s party just to see Brett. My relationship with Brett is complicated. I first met him when we were both freshmen, teamed up in student government—an obligatory class for all freshmen at the university. We hit it off instantly and became friends. Unfortunately, that’s all we are—friends.  Well, that’s not entirely true. We have a sort of situationship. We do things together, but we aren’t friends with benefits. We’ve never gone all the way; all we do is what he calls “massages,” which means he gets oral from me. I’m okay with that since I’ve never really enjoyed oral myself. I’ve never had anyone do it well, so I don’t push it. If you saw me with Brett, you might think we were more than just a situationship. We hang out and help each other when needed, but he isn’t interested in a committed relationship. It doesn’t help that he has a crush on his housemate, Olivia. Brett had to leave the Hockey House for some reason and needed a place to stay. Olivia had just lost one of her housemates and was looking for someone to fill the spot. The timing worked out perfectly for both of them and their other housemate, Anthony. I sighed again. So much for a quiet night alone in the sorority house. I just wanted to enjoy some peace and quiet. That’s not easy when you have ten girls living together, especially in a sorority. As president, I deal with their issues more than anyone else. So when I found out everyone had plans for the night and the house would be empty, I looked forward to some solitude. Well, I guess my plans have changed. Instead of a quiet evening, I need to get ready for a frat party.  I’m so pathetic. I’m only considering going because I want to see Brett, who will likely ignore me in favor of some puck bunny for the night. Yeah, I definitely need help.

Chapter 2

Brett I walked into the AKL frat house, and already there were people scattered about everywhere. AKL is the big frat on campus.  It’s big because it’s mostly athletes that are the brothers here. So it’s going to attract the females and a lot of te'stosterone  driven males. So far what I’m seeing, yep both are currently present in the Frat house. There are h********d girls everywhere, and guys getting on with those girls. The sad part is, this is a normal night night for this frat house. The only difference for a party is there is a ledger in the kitchen.  I moved to go towards the kitchen, but a hand with bright red nails suddenly went to my chest to stop me. I turned to see whose hand was on me.  “Hey Brett.” A blond wearing only a handkerchief for a top said to me. I really have no idea what her name is. But I do know she’s one of the puck bunnies that likes to hang around. “Hey.” I said to her. She moved in front of me and put her arms around my n**k. “It’s starting to get crowded here.” She said. I suked in my l**s and nodded my head. “yeah, and it’s still early.” I told her. She smiled at me, “Want to get away from here before it gets really crowded?” She asked me. Right now, I honestly am not in the mood for a puck bunny. I’ve had just a lot on my mind lately, and the truth is, I just really haven’t been in the mood for the ladies at all. That’s part of the reason I decided to come here to the AKL frat party. I thought it might be a good way just to blow off some steam. Plus, my friends and teammates kinda encouraged me to get out. I’ve been a real pain in their @ss lately. I just happened to look up, past the blond and a pair of legs caught my attention. I knew who it was, even though he was covered by a barely dressed female. It was Olly, one of my best friends and teammate. he definitely has no issue with hooking up with a female as soon as you walk in the door it seems. I look down at the little blonde again, “I’m going to get a beer, I have to make an appearance here, find me later?” I told her. I figured I was letting her down gently without insulting her. At least that’s my reasoning. “Sure.” She said to me as she unwrapped her arms from around my n**k. But I can tell by the look in her eyes, I definitely disappointed her. But I’m sure, once Marco or Blake gets here, that disappointment will disappear and she will have no problems going home with one of them.  That’s the thing with the puck bunnies, for every disappointment they get from one hockey player, there’s two or three other guys on the team that will make sure that disappointment disappears. I made my way into the kitchen. There it was the keg for this party or at least one of the kegs. If this party goes like it normally does for these frat parties another one will be tapped soon enough. I grabbed a solo cup to fill it up with beer, and felt a hand on my shoulder. Out of the corner of my eye I saw it was Marco. “Hey, there is a blond with red nails waiting for you in the living room.” I told him.  “Yep, saw her, got to Blake first.” He grinned. I handed him а-'cup I had just filled up. And then grabbed another red solo cup for myself. “Thanks.” He said, taking a sip of the beer. “When are you getting your housemate to cook for us again? Man I really could go for some of that rigatoni she made.” He said. I laughed, “she is wrapped up with the quarterback. I hardly see her.” I told him. The football team is involved in some type of scandal right now. So my housemate since she’s sort of dating the quarterback has been basically spending all her time over at the football house. “Well, see if you can guilt her into dinner. Tell her we’ll even buy the ingredients.” Marco laughed.  “Man, I think we are only friends because of my housemate.” I joked with him. “Hey it doesn’t hurt, especially since you bailed out the hockey house and left me to deal with Olly and Blake by myself.” He said to me. I erased the cup to my mouth. I can’t argue with him about that. I kinda did leave him in a rough spot. But this year, I can’t afford distractions. I have to get drafted into the NHL. I love my guys. And yes, it would’ve been amazing. The four of us living together at the hockey house but there’s just too many distractions, especially with Olly and Blake. They basically are in competition with each other over who can get the most girls in their bed. I think they’re trying to go for a world record. Speak of the devil, Olly came waltzing into the kitchen. “Brett! When did you get here?” He asked me as he reached for а-'cup. “ when you had your head between some girls brest there on the couch” I told him as I sipped my beer. “Ah, so you just have just came…so did I actually.” He laughed. I just rolled my eyes. I understood his hidden meeting behind his words. I really didn’t need to know that, but that’s Olly. “ so that means you’re taking a break?” I asked him. “Yeah, for a minute. Oh by the way your girlfriend is here.” Olly said. Marco let out a laugh. He knows I hate when the guys say that to me. Cassie is just a friend, that's all. But these idiots are trying to convince themselves and me that she’s really my girlfriend and she’s not.  “Olly, you know she is not my girlfriend.” I told him. “ well if you see what she’s wearing, you might be changing your mind.” He said. I looked at him, “What does that mean?” I asked him. “ she’s in the living room with a few of her sorority sisters. You’ll see.” He said Lord what the hll is Olly talking about? Now I have to go find Cassie and that not what I want to do right now.

Chapter 3

Cassie I looked around the frat house, taking in the sight of nearly n@ked women and drunken idiots. Thankfully, none of the idiots were Brett. “Looking for your boyfriend?” Sofia teased. In our sorority, we have an unwritten rule: no one shows up at a party alone. Safety in numbers, right? So, I had to hurry and get ready to leave with Sofia. “Shut up. You know he is not my boyfriend,” I replied. “Okay, your crush. I swear he is the only guy who does not realize you have a thing for him,” she said. I shook my head. “No, that is typical of all guys. My brother once asked me if a woman he was talking to was flirting with him. He was completely clueless, and she flat-out told him, ‘Can you not tell I am flirting with you?’” Sofia nodded. “Yeah, that sounds about right. Unless we flash our buubs at them, they have not got a clue,” she replied. Suddenly, the music started thumping. Someone cranked up the bass, and the party kicked into full gear. Sofia leaned in close, shouting over the noise, “Speaking of buubs, yours look fantastic in that top! Brett will definitely notice!” She elbowed me playfully. Her comment made me self-conscious. To be honest, the shirt was labeled extra-large, but it did not fit like one. It was a bit tight. I suspected they put the wrong size in the shirt, but once I had it on, it was too late to grab a different shirt. I figured I would just go with it. Since Sofia seemed to approve, it must look alright—right? We moved closer to the living room, where a lot of making out was happening on the furniture. Sofia elbowed me again and pointed to a guy with two girls who were all over each other. “He is such a pig,” she yelled. I didn’t need to see the guy’s face to know who she was talking about. There is only one man on this campus Sofia would call a pig: Oliver Cullen, one of the four Hockey Gods here. “Just ignore him,” I yelled back. The music was getting louder. I must have shouted a bit too loudly because Ollie looked up from between the two girls he had been kissing just moments earlier. He grinned at Sofia and me, then said something to his companions before getting up and walking over. “Well, it looks like the Deltas are in the house,” Ollie shouted. Sofia rolled her eyes, her dislike for Ollie evident. “Hey, Ollie, just get here?” I shouted, immediately regretting it. Of course, he had been here—he had two girls with him just moments ago. Ollie laughed. “Nah, been here for a while. Getting a beer. Want one?” he asked. I shook my head. I can’t stand the taste of beer. “Thanks, but no,” I replied. Sofia just stared at him, then said, “I can get my own.” Ollie shrugged. “Suit yourself,” he said as he walked past us to grab his beer. “Let’s find a quieter spot,” I yelled. The music was just too loud. I figured they cranked it up to drown out all the moans happening in the room. Sofia nodded, and we moved through the house, ending up in the dining room, which was the beer pong area. Ironically, it was the quietest room, aside from the cheers from those watching the current game. “I thought you said Brett was going to be here?” I asked Sofia. “Lord, relax. He is coming. How you became our sorority president, I have no idea, because you have zero patience,” she replied. “Yeah, well, that impatience only shows up when it comes to Brett,” I said. Sofia laughed. “Sure, blame it on your crush,” she teased. Just then, as if he could sense we were talking about him, Brett appeared nearby. As soon as I saw him, I smiled. Brett looked at me, and I could have sworn his eyes bugged out. What was his deal? “Cassie, what are you wearing?” he blurted out. I glanced down at my clothes. “Um, a tank top and jeans?” I answered. Sofia laughed, wrapping her arm around me. “Doesn’t this shirt make her buubs look amazing? I wish I had a set like hers.” I slowly turned my head to Sofia, mentally preparing to kill her when we got back to the sorority house. Now Brett was going to stare at my buubs. “Cassie, that top is giving people the wrong idea about you. You should not wear something like that. The first thing Ollie said to me was, ‘Wait until you see what Cassie is wearing.’ Now I understand why,” Brett said. “That pig! Of course, he would say that. His di'ck is all he thinks with,” Sofia huffed. “That is not helping,” I mumbled to her. “It’s true. All Oliver Cullen cares about are nuts, hockey, and puck bunnies. That is it,” she responded. “Girls, stop talking about Ollie and his lifestyle,” Brett said. “Lifestyle? I didn’t know STDs were a lifestyle,” Sofia shot back. Brett let out a sigh and looked at me. “Cassie, seriously, you do not need to look like a puck bunny. Just go back to your house and change.”

Chapter 4

### Brett When I searched the house for Cassie to see what Olly was talking about, my eyes nearly popped out of my head when I spotted her with one of her friends. She was wearing a tank top that looked a little too good on her. I won’t lie; Cassie has a beautiful figure, but she doesn’t need to flaunt it like that. Maybe I’m being а'jerk by suggesting she change her shirt, but I know Cassie. That shirt isn’t really her style. These drunk idiots around here won’t understand that. “Brett, get over it. Cassie isn’t going home to change,” Sophia chimed in. “You know I can speak for myself, right?” Cassie shot back at her friend. Then she turned to me. “We just got here. I didn’t drag myself out just to go right back to the house. You don’t think I’m used to guys ogling my buubs, Brett? Guess what I’ve had to deal with since high school,” Cassie told me. “Nice,” Sophia said, high-fiving Cassie. I give up. I’m not going to argue with these two. “Fine, but don’t come crying to me when one of the drunk frat boys tries something,” I warned her. “Oh, which one are you going home with tonight, Cass? Brett just said you’re getting lucky tonight,” Sophia laughed. Cassie shot a look at her friend and shook her head slightly before turning back to me. “Why do you care?” she asked. I sighed. “Because I’m your friend, Cass. I don’t want to see you get hurt.” Cassie nodded but then turned to Sophia. “I need some air. There are too many people here,” she said. “Yeah, good idea,” Sophia said, taking Cassie by the arm as they walked past me. Just then, I felt a heavy arm drape over my shoulder. “So you struck out with Cass?” I heard Marco say. I shrugged his arm off. “I wasn’t hitting on her, Marco.” He laughed. “Riiiggght.” My friends always tease me about Cassie. They’re convinced we’re some kind of couple. But we’re just friends. I’ve never done anything with her other than talk and joke around. We met freshman year as lab partners in one of our classes, and we just hit it off. Besides, Cassie isn’t my type. She’s beautiful, sure, and she has a great figure. But I prefer girls who are more physically fit than Cassie. She’s just a bit too fleshy for my tastes. That’s fine, though; I’d rather have her as a friend. “You just got here?” I asked Marco. “Yeah, Blake and I just arrived.” He glanced at a girl wearing nothing but a bra and a mini skirt as she ran past us. “I guess Truth or Dare has started,” Marco laughed. I watched the girl do a l*p around the room before she disappeared. “Yeah, looks that way. I’m guessing that’s where Blake is?” I replied. “Oh yeah, you know it.” Marco chuckled. “How long before he dares a girl to go upstairs with him?” I asked. Blake loves to kick off Truth or Dare games at parties. He gets girls to do crazy, h********d stunts, and when he finds one he likes, he dares them to go to a room with him, where they finish the game in private. It’s the cheesiest way to pick up girls, but for some reason, it always works in his favor. “I’m thinking ten minutes,” Marco said. “He already has a girl picked out, doesn’t he?” I asked. “Maybe… he spotted a redhead when we got here and said it had been a while since he’d had a natural redhead,” Marco replied. “So he wants to see if the curtains match the drapes?” I joked. “Bingo. Do they have bottles here, or is it just the keg?” Marco asked. “Let’s find out,” I said as we turned to head to the kitchen to grab two bottles of beer. At parties, we prefer bottles over red Solo cups. With a bottle, no one's going to mess with your drink. With the red cups, you never know. When we reached the kitchen, Marco opened the refrigerator and pulled out two bottles of Corona. “Looks like this is all they have,” he said, holding the bottles up. “Hmm, well, better than the keg,” I replied, grabbing a bottle from him. Marco shut the refrigerator door and twisted the cap off his beer. “No football players here tonight,” he remarked before taking a swig. I hadn’t even noticed that. A quick glance around the kitchen confirmed he was right. “I guess the rumors are true. They must be on lockdown because of that,” I said. “You live next to the football house. Are you telling me you didn’t know that one of the guys on the team got a girl pregnant?” he asked. “Hey, it’s not like I hang out with them. I hardly even see those guys,” I told him. Occasionally, I say hi to one of them if I pass by, but that’s about it. My housemate Olivia knows more about the rumors than I do. She’s always with those football guys. Besides, I’m into hockey, and they’re football. That means we’re rivals and usually don’t associate with each other. “Well, it’s better that it happened to them and not to one of us,” Marco said. “I agree with that,” I replied as we clinked our bottles together.

Chapter 5

Cassie I stepped outside with Sophia. It’s cold out here, but the chill feels refreshing compared to the packed gray house filled with people. The music inside was muffled, yet I could still make out the songs. The party was still going strong, and it struck me as odd that no one was out on the deck yet. Sophia and I leaned our backs against the house, needing a break from Brett and his incessant comments. “I don’t get Brett. He acts like he likes you but won’t admit it,” she said. I sighed. “Trust me, I know. It messes with my head sometimes.” It truly does. I guess that’s what unrequited love feels like—you hope they’ll realize you’re the one, but they never do. “I mean, I get it, Cassie. What was that back there? He was acting possessive about that Dam shirt,” Sophia continued. I stared into the distance. “Yep,” I replied, popping the ‘p’ in my response. I let out a sigh. I should have just stayed home like I wanted. I only came to see Brett, and now that I have, what’s the point? “Don’t do that,” Sophia interrupted my thoughts. I turned my head toward her. “Do what?” I asked. “Think you should leave. Don’t go there, Cass. So what if Brett has an issue with your shirt? You look great in it. If it’s such a problem, a gentleman would have offered you his shirt to cover up,” she said. “You read too many romance novels. He would never give me the shirt off his back,” I replied. “Yeah, well, if men read romance novels, they might learn how to win us over and not be like that,” Sophia said, pointing toward the house. I laughed. “Depends on the romance book. I’m not sure I want all men to be muscle-bound, tattooed, and acting possessive all the time.” “Oh, so you don’t want a hockey player? Okay, then forget all about the hockey gods,” she teased. Oh my god, she’s right—I did kind of describe hockey players. “I’m hopeless, I guess,” I giggled. “We all are, babe. Trust me on that. That’s why men drive us crazy!” Sophia exclaimed. I nodded in agreement. Yeah, Brett definitely drives me crazy. I need to stop obsessing over him and ignore the mixed signals he sends, like what he said to me tonight about the tank top. Speaking of my top, “I’m actually getting cold. Want to head back inside?” I asked Sophia. “Oh thank god, yes! It’s way too cold to be out here all night,” she laughed, s******g her arm around me. As we walked back inside, we were met with the sight of a girl doing a headstand—bare-chested. “What the hll is going on with that?” Sophia exclaimed, staring at the girl. “No idea. My guess is she’s trying to impress one of these guys,” I said. Sophia tilted her head. “Well, she’s going about it the wrong way, but nice buub job—can hardly see the scar,” she noted as we moved away from the scene. I laughed; only Sophia would say something like that. “You know what?” I said to her. “What?” she asked as we entered the room where people were dancing. “I think I feel like dancing,” I replied. “Yep, I do too! Let’s show them what the Deltas can do!” Sophia said, throwing her hands up in the air and sashaying her h**s into the dance area. I joined her. scr'w Brett! If he thinks these guys will see me as a "lucky bunny" because of my shirt, let them. They already know I’m a Delta, so they’ll assume I don’t need a shirt to prove it. Soon, it seemed Sophia and I had others joining us on the dance floor. Sophia leaned in close and whispered, “Do me a favor—dance seductively with me. I want to test something out.” I glanced past her and saw Olly watching. I knew what Sophia was up to; she wanted to teach him a lesson. I wasn’t sure what had happened between her and Olly, but I could tell she couldn’t stand him. I nodded and turned her around, running my hands suggestively down her body. Cheers erupted from the crowd as the room came alive, knowing we were about to put on a show. Sophia leaned forward, doing her $exy dance move, and playfully pressed her backside against me. I pretended to swat it. A quick look at Olly showed him with his arms crossed, watching us intently. I couldn’t help but wonder if he would report back to Brett about my little performance. After all, he was the one who ran off to tell Brett I was wearing a shirt he didn’t approve of. Sophia turned around, getting in my face as if we were about to k**s. “He’s eating this up!” she whispered in our faux embrace on the dance floor. “Mmm-hmm,” I hummed, turning her back around and resting my head on her shoulder as I caressed her body. “I think we sent the guys a good message,” I whispered in her ear. Sophia switched our positions so she could mimic what I’d been doing. “Yeah, don’t mess with us, because we mess harder,” she laughed. Not exactly how I would have put it, but yeah—I think we sent the hockey gods a message. Don’t tell us what we can do; it’s your loss.

Chapter 6

**Brett** Honestly, I’m feeling a bit bored at this party. Lately, I haven’t really been in the mood to socialize. With the NHL draft approaching, I’m trying to avoid anything that could jeopardize my chances of getting placed on a solid team. I glanced at Marco and said, “I think I’m out.” He looked at me like I was crazy. “It’s still early! What do you mean you’re out? Come on, Brett, you’re twenty-two, not sixty-two!” he replied. I was about to respond when I noticed a growing crowd around the dance area. “What’s going on over there?” I asked. “I don’t know. Let’s check it out. Whatever it is, it’s caught Ollie’s attention,” Marco said. I scanned the crowd and spotted Ollie, whose expression suggested he was far from amused. “Okay, that’s weird,” I muttered. “Ollie’s face? Yeah, I agree. That’s why we need to see what’s happening,” Marco said. We made our way over to the throng. Marco tapped a kid on the shoulder. When he turned around, I could swear he looked like a freshman. They just keep getting younger every year. “What’s up?” Marco asked him. “Hot chicks, dude. Hot chicks,” the kid replied. Definitely a freshman. And he didn’t even tell us what was going on. Marco nodded and pointed straight ahead before pushing his way past the kid. I followed, and soon the dance area opened up before us. Two girls were dancing, moving very seductively. Marco waved at Ollie, who nodded and pointed toward the dancers. I focused on them and realized why Ollie looked so displeased. It was Cassie and Sophia. What the hll are they doing? “Well, now I see why Ollie isn’t amused. Do they have any idea how much trouble they’re causing?” Marco sighed. “Apparently not,” I replied, watching as Sophia groped Cassie. I’m not a prude. I wouldn’t mind watching h********d women dance, but that’s in a str1p club—not at a frat house known for its parties. I’d had enough of this place and of Cassie for o*******t. She doesn’t listen. I didn’t want to deal with the fallout when she inevitably gets hurt by antics like this. “I’m out. I’ve had enough for tonight,” I told Marco. He glanced over at Ollie and nodded toward the exit, signaling for him to leave. Ollie turned and stepped away from where he’d been standing. Marco and I pushed through the crowd to join him. Once we were clear of the dance area, Ollie spoke first. “Dam Sophia, she never thinks,” he said. “From what I saw, Cassie is just as bad. You can’t blame it all on Sophia,” Marco replied. “I’m pretty sure Sophia started it. That girl is nothing but trouble,” Ollie grunted. No one knows what Ollie’s issue with Sophia is. All we know is that she’s the one woman he can’t stand. Rumor has it she’s the only one who’s ever turned him down, and that’s where the animosity comes from. “I already told Cassie about her outfit. Now she’s up there making a spectacle? I’m done. If she wants people to think she’s a puck bunny, that’s on her,” I said. “Dude, she’s Delta. Everyone knows Delta’s reputation. They think she’s a puck bunny,” Marco chimed in. I shot him a glare. Yeah, everyone knows Delta Zeta has a reputation for being easy, but I know Cassie isn’t like that. “Whatever, I’m out, guys. See you tomorrow. Don’t forget we have an early skate,” I said as I made my way toward the door. Just as I reached the front door, I heard someone call my name. “Brett! Wait up!” Ollie shouted as he jogged to catch up with me. “I’m done with this place. I’ll walk with you,” he said. The hockey house, where Ollie lives with Marco and Blake, isn’t too far from here, and neither is my place. It’s convenient to walk to parties like this. “Think your housemate has leftovers in the fridge? I’m kinda hungry,” Ollie asked. I chuckled. “I know she’s been baking again. We’ve got cupcakes everywhere right now,” I told him. My housemate Olivia tends to bake when she’s stressed. She went on a baking spree two weeks ago and made so many cookies that I’m surprised I’m not diabetic. “Homemade cupcakes? Hey, you don’t need to twist my arm for that. I’m in,” he said with a grin. “Is that your way of asking if you can come over for one of Olivia’s cupcakes?” I teased. “Oh, Brett, can I please come over to have a cupcake?” Ollie asked in a high-pitched voice. “Are you trying to sound like a girl? What was that?” I laughed as we walked. “If it gets me a cupcake, then sure,” he replied with a smirk. “You know, I don’t understand how you stay in shape with all the junk you eat. Sure, come over for a cupcake. Who knows, she might have baked something else in the kitchen,” I told him. “You know, moving into the old lady’s house was the best decision. Had you stayed with us at the hockey house, I wouldn’t have any baked goods from Olivia,” Ollie said. “Yeah, that’s exactly why I moved in there. I wanted to feed your sweet tooth,” I joked. A comfortable silence settled between us as I spotted my house in the distance. Finally, Ollie broke the quiet. “You know, Blake is sorry about what happened with your sister,” he said. I g*****d. I really didn’t want to go there. “Ollie, just don’t,” I replied.
